The American Canoe Association (ACA) is a nationwide, not for profit organization that is in service to the broader paddling public by providing education on matters related to paddling, supporting stewardship of the paddling environment, and enabling programs and events to support paddlesport recreation.

British Canoe Union North America

Set up in 1936 to send a team to the Berlin Olympics, the BCU is the lead body for canoeing and kayaking in the UK. Since then the organisation has grown considerably, and the range of canoeing opportunity has increased tremendously. BCUNA is of course, the North American arm of the BCU.

Connyak

ConnYak is a non-profit club that is open to all paddlers interested in sea kayaking from any location. Membership in ConnYak is open to all paddlers interested in sharing the diverse activities associated with this sport.

The mission of Connyak is to encourage and support recreational paddling opportunities within and outside Connecticut as well as to network members, trips, launch sites, education and safety. ConnYak has day trips and overnighters both inland and open ocean. Our trips vary from beginner to advanced. ConnYak also schedules various guest speakers at its meetings as well as networks instruction and pool availability. Our prime goal is to have fun. All paddlers are encouraged to take lessons and can join us on our trips with the full understanding that each paddler is responsible for their own safety.
